Hi!

I’m Sam and I live in Berlin and I live for food.

Since I have been in Berlin I have discovered many different cuisines and new recipes but something that has really made an impact is Vegan cooking.

Turning thirty has made me just a little more aware of ones health and having always been interested in healthy food, the benefits of the vegan lifestyle became very appealing.

Vegan is both nourishing and environmentally friendly, but the main reason I find it so exciting is the challenge cooking vegan imposes on the cook, with the immediate loss of the non-vegan’s ‘go to’ ingredients- meat and dairy.

Throw a little cheese on anything and its going to taste good.

I am not (yet anyway) a vegan. I eat Monday-Friday vegan and then at the weekend tend to experiment with meat and dairy recipes, however not always!

With this blog I shall be recording my vegan adventures and recipes, so feel free to join me.

I also write the blog ‘chopsinberlin’, which will focus on all my non-vegan foodie finds.
